Terms and Conditions
Introduction
Welcome to Frugl. These terms ("Terms") govern your use of Frugl’s free price tracking and deal alerts service (the “Service”). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms. Frugl is a Canadian company, and these Terms are governed by the laws of Canada (and the Province of Ontario).
Service Overview
Frugl provides a free price-tracking and deal alert tool. You do not need to create an account or make any purchase to use the Service. Here is how it works:
1. Submit a product link: Provide a link to a product on a third-party site (for example, an online retailer).
2. Set a budget: Choose a target price or budget for that product.
3. Provide contact info: Enter your name and email address so we can send you an alert.
When a product’s price drops to or below your budget, we will send you an email alert with that information. You may submit as many products as you like (each product submission is separate) and track unlimited deals. Frugl gathers pricing and deal information from various sources, including Google Shopping and AI-based tools (such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT API). Important: We do not guarantee any specific price or deal. All prices and offers are subject to change, and products may become unavailable.
Your Responsibilities
Use properly: You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. Do not misuse the Service (for example, do not send spam or violate any laws).
Accurate information: You are responsible for providing correct information (especially your email address). Frugl cannot send alerts if your contact information is wrong.
One product per submission: Enter each product separately. You can submit unlimited products, but each one must be entered on its own.
Third-Party Services and Links
Frugl relies on third-party content and tools:
We use Google Shopping and similar sources (and the ChatGPT API) to find product prices. These are external services; Frugl is not affiliated with Google or OpenAI.
We may provide links to third-party websites where you can purchase products.
Important: Any purchase you make is directly with the third-party seller. Frugl does not control these external sites. We are not responsible for any problems, losses, or expenses resulting from those purchases. We do not endorse or guarantee any products, services, or prices from third-party sites. If you buy something through a third-party link, that transaction is entirely between you and the seller.
No Warranties
The Service is provided to you “as is.” Frugl does not promise that the Service is always available or error-free. We make no guarantees about:
1. Getting any particular price or deal.
2. The accuracy or completeness of price information.
3. The availability of any product.
Frugl disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Your use of Frugl is at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frugl (and its owners) will not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes:
1. Direct or indirect damages.
2. Lost profits or data.
3. Any claims related to third-party products or websites.
4. Any decisions made based on information from Frugl.
If you purchase through a third-party link, any issues (e.g. defective products, disputes) are your responsibility. Frugl is not liable for those transactions.
Changes to Terms
Frugl may update these Terms at any time. The current Terms will be posted on the website. By continuing to use the Service after changes are posted, you agree to the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario. Any disputes will be resolved under Canadian law.
